individual work written essay written examination 20% Knowledge evaluation of setting up a small, respectively medium-sized enterprise. 20% Assessment of knowledge of SMEs in planning, management and finance decisions in SMEs. 60% Result of the final written exam about impact of economics decisions on results of small and medium-sized enterprises. Solving case studies processed separately. |

Learning outcomes: |
The aim of the subject is to provide a basic understanding of legislative and economic conditions necessary for the establishment of the company and the possibilities and ways of business development in small and medium-sized enterprises in relation to tax and the payment obligations of business entities. Subject focuses on the process of setting up the small and medium-sized enterprises. It also provides the characteristics and methods for processing business projects in terms of raising funds for successful entreprenurial activities in small and medium-sized enterprises. Alternatives of calculation the taxes and contribution obligations for businesses and employees in SMEs. The basic concepts of a breakdown of individual elements of the business environment and their variants quantification in Slovakia and abroad. Course content: | Definition of small and medium-sized enterprises, characteristics of family business, starting of small enterprise, planning, the business plan creation, the structure of business plan for SMEs, human resources in SMEs and family businesses, taxation of business entities, health insurance and social welfare of entrepreneurs, financing in SMEs, evaluation of business environmnet quality, organizations for supporting SMEs. |
